ETSU Baseball to celebrate American Heroes Day against Virginia Tech

Monday, April 18, 2011

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 18, 2011) - The ETSU baseball team, ETSU Athletics and ETSU Army ROTC are teaming up to honor local service men and women with American Heroes Day at the Virginia Tech game at Cardinal Park on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.

All current and former military, police, EMS, and fireman will receive admission to the contest for a Buc ($1). Throughout the game members of the ETSU Army ROTC will help with game day promotions.

"This is one of our favorite events to put together," said Tyler McCann, marketing and promotions assistant of ETSU athletics "We love to show how appreciative we are of the men and women of our armed forces, fire, EMT and police. This event is just a small token of how the Bucs can support them."

There will also be a free pregame event in the parking lot adjacent to Cardinal Park with attractions and activities.

Help us honor the men and women of the community for the actions they have shown to serve and protect our country. For more information on Buccaneer baseball or any other athletic news, please visit www.ETSUBucs.com.
