COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 16, 2011) - Junior Dylan Pratt (Johnson City, Tenn.) came up big for the ETSU baseball team again as he delivered a three-run home run in the ninth inning to give the Bucs a 6-5 comeback win against Tennessee Tech Wednesday afternoon at Bush Stadium in Cookeville, Tenn.

The win ends a 15 year drought for the Buccaneers (11-2, 4-0 A-Sun) at Tennessee Tech (7-10) and also extends the current win streak to seven games.

Junior Dak Rissman (West Palm Beach, Fla.) earned his first win of the season after coming in to the game and getting two outs in the eighth inning with a runner on third, while Matthew Shepherd was tabbed with the loss for TTU.

Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.) gave the Buccaneers a 1-0 lead in the top of the fifth as he sent a 2-2 pitch over the fence in left center for his second home run of the season.

The Golden Eagles answered in the bottom half of the inning scoring three runs on four hits after two quick outs in the inning to take a 3-1 advantage. A Zephan Guyear two-run triple highlighted the scoring for TTU in the inning.

TTU added to its lead in the bottom of the eighth as Zach Stephens tripled in two runs to make the score 5-1.

ETSU rallied in the top of the ninth as Andrew Green (Powell, Tenn.) and Kerry Doane (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) led off the inning with back-to-back hits to give the Bucs runners on second and third with no outs. After two strikeouts, Reeder came up with an RBI single to short to extend the inning. In the next at bat, senior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) dumped an RBI single into center to cut the TTU lead to 5-3. Pratt completed the come back in the next at bat as he hammered a 0-1 pitch to right center for a three-run home run to put ETSU in front 6-5.

Reeder then came in to convert on his eighth straight save opportunity as he struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth to close out the contest.

Offensively the Buccaneers had three players post multi-hit games led by Pratt who was 2-for-5 with a double, home run and three RBI.

The Bucs return to action on Friday at 7:05 p.m. as they host Jacksonville in a three-game series at Cardinal Park. For more information on ETSU baseball and all other Buccaneer athletic news please visit www.ETSUBucs.com.
