Hoilman's record night powers Bucs to 12-4 win over Wofford
Paul Hoilman Wednesday, May 05, 2010 Hoilman and freshman Kerry Doane ( Freshman Derek Bushey ( J.D. Osborne was tabbed with the loss for Wofford (14-30, 7-14 SoCon) surrendering 11 runs (ten earned) on 13 hits in 6.0 innings of work. The Bucs scored four runs on four hits in the first inning highlighted by a two-run double by Doane to take a 4-0 lead. ETSU added another run in the second inning as Derek Niesman ( In the third inning, Doane came around to score from second on a Chas Byrne ( The Terriers cut the lead to 6-3 in the fourth as WU scored three runs on a two-run double by Mac Doyle and a sac fly to left Landon Bennett. First baseman Paul Hoilman ( After a Doane double in the fifth, designated hitter Michael Gonzalez (Jupiter, Bennett drove in Doyle on a sacrifice fly to center in the sixth to make the score 8-4. Hoilman struck again in the sixth as he crushed a three-run home run over the scoreboard in left to extend the Buccaneer lead to 11-4. Niesman brought in Gonzalez in the seventh on a ball hit to short to make the final 12-4.
