EUGENE, Ore. (May 15, 2010) -  Oregon rallied for two runs in the ninth, as the ETSU baseball team dropped a heartbreaker to the 22^nd ranked Ducks 7-6 Saturday night at PK Park in Eugene, Ore.

Reliever Bo Burton (Kingsport, Tenn.) was great in relief for the Bucs (29-23, 14-10 A-Sun) despite taking the loss to fall to 7-5 on the season. Burton went 4.2 innings retiring 13 of 17 batters going into the ninth inning, while striking out four.

Madison Boer earned the win for Oregon (33-18, 10-11 Pac-10) going 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.

The Bucs were led offensively by third baseman Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.) and catcher Derek Trent (Kingsport, Tenn.) as they both went 2-4 on the night.

Oregon grabbed a 4-0 lead on four hits in the first inning highlighted by a RBI triple by Marcus Piazzissi.

The Ducs added a run in the third as Dylan Gavin came around to score from second on a single by shortstop Scott McGough to take a 5-0 lead.

ETSU got on the board in the fourth as Reeder crushed a three-run home run over the fence in right center to cut the Ducks lead to 5-3. The home run was the 18^th of the season for Reeder.

Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) brought the Bucs within a run, 5-4, in the eighth as he drove in Michael Gonzalez (Jupiter, Fla.) on a ball hit to short. In the next at bat, Trent singled to right scoring Andrew Green (Powell, Tenn.) and Hoilman to give the Buccaneers a 6-5 lead.

In the bottom of the ninth, Shawn Peterson singled through the right side scoring Andrew Mendenhall from second to tie the game at 6-all. Later in the inning, Mitch Karraker singled in the winning run of the game to make the final 7-6.
