ETSU Baseball drops close game to Belmont, 4-1
Danny Petro Friday, April 18, 2008 JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 18, 2008) - The ETSU baseball team fell to Belmont Friday night at Cardinal Park in a low scoring game, 4-1. ETSU (10-28, 7-15) was out hit by the Bruins 12-7 and stranded nine runners. Brandon Langston ( Carlos Testa got the scoring started in the top of the first as he singled in a run, but was thrown out by Derek Trent ( In the top of the fifth, The Bruins added to their lead in the top of the ninth as Vinny Casha drove in a run on a grounder to third to give Petro increased his hitting streak to 15 games with his double in the seventh, and Chris Rankhorn ( The Bucs are back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. as they host Belmont 4, ETSU 1 (April 18, 2008 at ETSU..........000 000 100 - 1 7 1 (10-28, 7-15 A-Sun) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Win - Carlo Testa(4-2) Loss - Brandon Langston (2-6) |
