Buccaneer Baseball to face Virginia Tech in Kingsport Classic

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Apr. 26, 2005) - East Tennessee State and Virginia Tech play for the third-consecutive season in the Kingsport Classic Tuesday night from Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn. ETSU has won two of the first three meetings, including an 11-7 victory last season.

            The Bucs have won six of their last seven games after sweeping an abbreviated two-game series from Southern Conference rival Appalachian State this past weekend. The Hokies and Bucs have already played once this season, with ETSU winning a 5-4 thriller in 10 innings on Apr. 19 from English Field in Blacksburg, Va.

            First pitch is set for 7 p.m. while the broadcast on the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network will begin at 6:30 p.m.
