JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 15, 2003) - The East Tennessee State University baseball team took a break from the heat of their Southern Conference battles to volunteer time Wednesday at the Johnson City First Christian Church Preschool Field Day. Players mingled with the kids, helped officiate events and signed autographs for the children during the morning hours. Helping at Wednesday's Field Day is yet another example of importance ETSU athletic teams place on community involvement.
