Baseball Falls to Wofford, 8-5

Johnson City, Tenn. -- The Bucs missed their opportunity to sweep a three-game Southern Conference series from Wofford with an 8-5 loss on Sunday, April 30.

Wofford pitcher George Lehr was the story, holding the Bucs to five runs on five hits. The Bucs could only manage two runs until Ed Sparks three-run homer in the ninth.

Danny Pugh collected two hits for the Bucs. Lead-off man Jeremy Terry went 0-4 and snapped his 14-game hit streak.

Jarrod Hyder started the game on the mound and lasted five innings, allowing six runs on six hits. Shannon Carter pitched three innings of relief, allowing two runs.
