With the loss, the Bucs drop to 23-23 on the season and 9-16 in conference, while Stetson improves to 24-26, and 13-12 in league play.

The Bucs were led offensively by centerfielder Jacob Fabry (
Mark Jones put the Hatters in front 1-0 in the bottom of the second on a RBI single to left.
The Bucs answered in the top of the third as third baseman Bo Reeder (
Stetson retook the lead in the bottom of the third as third baseman Sean Emory came in to score on a RBI ground out by centerfielder Casey Frawley. Later in the inning, right fielder Jeremy Cruz singled in another run to take a 3-1 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Hatters added another run on a RBI single by catcher Nick Rickles to make the score 4-1.
The Hatters added two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth on a two-run single by Emory to extend the Stetson lead to 6-1.
