The Hokies jumped out in front 3-0 in the bottom of the first on a Anthony Sosnoskie RBI double and a Steve Domecus two-run home run.
ETSU cut into the Virginia Tech lead in the top of the second as Matthew Scruggs (
Virginia Tech added another run in the bottom of the second on a Tony Balisteri grounder to second to make the score 4-2.
The Bucs had runners on second and third with two outs in the top of the seventh, but Balisteri made a great play at second to throw out Fabry in a bang-bang play to end the inning.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Hokies increased their lead after scoring six runs on six hits to give Virginia Tech a 10-2 lead.
With the loss, the Bucs drop to 3-1 on the season and will host Rider Friday at 3 p.m. at
